Glad you is all better. :D
I had a kidney stone and inflamed appendix simultaneously not long back.

3 Oxycontin = not even a dent in the pain.
You are a trooper, La Faffina. :amen:

And thanks all for the kind words. Uncle Harry was, I think, holding on for my Aunty Jean. He had cancer of nearly everything and had gotten sick before she did. Once she passed, I think he was able to let go.
Saw him at her funeral recently and he looked better than I had hoped, apart from not recognising me - he was still quite bright. God knows what they were pumping into him to keep him painless.
If that happens to me, I hope I have the same nobility.

Best of luck and well wishes to the both of you Dave & Faffy. It's shitty just to think about having to go through medical procedures, or when someone you now has to.

My condolences, Dave

Un-awesome: In a bit of shock over what could've been a very serious traffic accident early yesterday morning.

Sorry to hear about your uncle

Faffy - I do hope you're milking the (in)conveniently timed combination of very ill + home for the first time in months + christmas to score lots of awesome home cooking and looking after!!

My Uncle passed away this morning aged 79...just a few weeks after his wife.

Fucking cancer (both).

bummer, sorry to hear that, Dave! :(

Same here. So sorry. Unfortunately death from cancer seems to be something everyone has some experience with. :(

My sincere condolences Dave.

So we're all agreed that cancer is a massive twat.

If and when any of you can, may I be so bold as to encourage you all to give generously to the worthy cancer charities and research funds out there.

Faffy-- immediately after reading your post I went to my kitchen and got a glass of water lol. I don't drink nearly enough, like if I drink more than two or three glasses of water a day that's good for me. And guess I shouldn't count beer... But glad you're feeling better and it wasn't any worse!

Tyroshai-- scary shit. Glad you're ok.

Ugh... was gonna head home for Christmas today but the state is getting slammed with snow so the road I take is closed indefinitely. Yaaaaaaaay. I hope I can get out today, cuz driving all day Christmas Eve would just be marvelous.

Gr.... :chain:

nip round here, Slatewoman. You can share mine. There's plenty to go round. And 17kg of roast birds.
