well, there ya go. I'm playing Mass Effect 1 right now. And after a few hours of playing the game I'm already fully consumed by its world again. God, I love ME.

finished Mass Effect 1, what a great game still. Despite the fact that the game shits the same locations at you over and over again. And the Mako expeditions get old too after a while. And yeah, the frame rate is atrocious at times. But dang that game still rocks my socks.

Started Mass Effect 2 now....planet scanning!!!! Argh! It still blows, even after installing the patch it's way too slow and boooooring. Oh well, the rest of the game rocks though. Although it may, just may, be my least favorite ME game of the trilogy, if one can even say so. I mean, the game is fucking awesome though.

When I get to replay ME3 I won't finish it though untill all DLCs are available since they may influence the ending and may make some more war assets available. The Leviathan DLC did add quite a few war assets to the game and offers a short but sweet additional dialogue scene for the ending.

Fucking best video game series evaaaarrrrr...

Heh, cool. I started Mass Effect 2 about a month ago, haven't played ME3 yet and wanted to refresh my memory for the story. Currently about 45 hours in, getting close to the end now.
Can't wait for ME3 :D :D

I'll start ME3 once I finish Skyrim.

So, 2014 probably.

I plan on starting Wolfenstein eventually. I need something after Batman to keep me occupied until Hitman and GTA are released.

it's not a very lengthy game but it's a lot of fun. I think you'll enjoy it. It's even more campy than the previous Wolfenstein games :)

you should both definitely download the extended cut ending though (it's free) and if you can afford it then also get the Leviathan DLC before you play ME3. All that makes the ending much more satisfying.

Already downloaded all free DLC (that includes Javik for me, got the N7 edition). I'll probably get Leviathan by the time I play it.

by that time there may be new DLC available too. I usually am no fan of DLC but when it comes to Mass Effect I just can't get enough of it, heh.

Also, I'm amazed that I still find missions and stuff that I did not discover in my first playthroughs. Like talking to Shepard's mom, for example in ME1

Also, my favorite moment in ME2 must be:

Shepard: "hey...you guys, stop looting!"
Looters: "oh come on, brah...we're just stealin' some stuff from dead people."
Shepard: "no guys, looting ain't cool."
Looters: "awww, man. Come on, brah. You're ruining all the fun."
Shepard: "if you don't stop it I'm gonna have to shoot your asses."
Looters: "OK, OK, brah. We'll stop and just leave."

Shepard heads to the next safe and loots the fuck out of it.

that should be released on consoles too. I loved Half-Life 1 and always thought it deserves a makeover and a release on all platforms.

Possible minor spoilers for ME2...

Spoiler: show
So I'm playing ME2 as mentioned above, doing the Suicide Mission. Can't keep the techie alive for some reason.
Figured as this is my second playthrough, I'd 'cheat' and check online who's best to use for which things. (Didn't keep everyone alive on my first playthrough, crew, Jack and Legion died)

Anyway, I checked online, list says to use Tali, Legion or Kasumi for the tech part at the very beginning (opening/closing doors, going through the thermal vents). K, cool, I use Tali (who is not loyal), and bang, she gets shot. K, I'll try Kasumi (who is loyal), she also gets shot.
Fine then, Legion (not loyal). Gets shot as well.

What the fuck is going on here? Why are they all getting killed?

Anyone got any ideas? I'd quite like to succeed on everything in preparation for ME3, but for some reason, I can't.

So I was at a bar last night that has PS3s you can play and there were a couple of guys playing Mortal Kombat. Now I've never been huge into fighting games but I saw them playing and suddenly had the urge to play one. So I think I'm going to go to the store today and try to buy one used.

So I ask you guys: recommendations for good fighting games on the 360?

before you buy ANY fighting game for your 360 I urge you to buy a third party gamepad with a better d-pad first. Believe me, otherwise you won't enjoy games like Mortal Kombat or Street Fighter IV as much as you should.

As for games. Mortal Kombat is a very good choice in my opinion. Great over the top violence, great gameplay and great combo system. Street Fighter IV is also great. Both games are total 90's beat 'em up homages. There's other good fighting games such as the Dead or Alive series, the Soul Calibur series, the Virtua Fighter series or the Tekken series but if you want that old school feeling then you gotta go with Mortal Kombat and Street Fighter.

here's how I did it. And before I say anything else. All of your squad has to be loyal and you need ALL Normandy upgrades if you want everyone to survive. You HAVE TO ask every squad member for upgrades in conversations and then have the recources for each upgrade, INCLUDING Legion. If several squad mates are not loyal and you don't have all upgrades it might just be impossible to get them all through alive. So...here's what I did:

-I did ALL loyalty missions and got all my squad mates loyal.

-When Jack and Miranda have their heated discussion I picked the blue replies so both of them calm down and I did not have to pick any sides.

-You do the same thing when Tali and Legion have their heated discussion.
(Pick a side in either case and one of the 2 won't be loyal anymore)

-I did all possible loyalty missions BEFORE I got the Reaper FFS and then did Legion's loyalty mission right away and I chose to NOT destroy the heretics

-Then when the crew gets kidnapped there is no time to waste and you got to use the Omega 4 relay right away. If you wait too long then Kelly and others will die.

-As for the suicide mission itself. I picked Tali for the tech stuff, Garrus to be the team leader, I sent Mordin away to take the crew to the Normandy. I picked Jack to to the biotics stuff. Not sure what else you have to do but that's what I remember.

I have not lost a single squad mate or crew member in any of my playthroughs. Hope this helps :)
