Yes. I think about important issues.

I always thought it was more to do with our prostate, being closer to our rectums than a woman's, therefore narrowing the gap. I could be wrong.

I take long poops sometimes, mainly because I feel about done, when suddenly my body says "Surprise! There's more!" Then I end up waiting until I'm sure it's over.

Interesting theory..
I tried googling, but all I found was this: Image .... :?

Fascinating topic. :D I don't have actual numbers on this, but while quantities produced are more or less equal assuming a 'normal' diet, the times of dumping said quantities in my case is probably on the low end when compared to the average relief-frequency. That infrequency makes it a somewhat special occasion, for which it is worth taking the time. As such it provides a nice opportunity for self-reflection, philosophical musings and other bouts of inspiration, therefore making it easy to lose track of time. And since women never have deep thoughts they have shorter poops.<- sarcasm hopefully obvious

Also, hemorrhoids are no picnic.

I think I am among the low-frequency-poopers as well, but I'd still rather do my philosophical musings elsewhere than above a dung of poop. It's such a quick affair that I wouldn't even have time to get into philosophy-land. So, maybe maybe longer-pooping times is what leads males into a more philosophical landscape, and thus prolongs their toilet break.

...or maybe men are just full of shit.<- see, I know sarcasm too! : D

Personally I always thought it was down to diet. I easily surpass my 5 fruit/veg a day (sometimes during lunchtime if I'm having a good day) so I thought that explained my regularly quick poops.

My friend on the other hand has an atrocious diet and he genuinely spends at least 20 minutes in the toilet at a time. Sometimes I worry that he's not just pooping in there... I now live in an en-suite and he's coming over to stay in a couple of weeks. Is it rude to ask him to use another bathroom?

If you have another toilet in your house, by all means ask him. I know plenty of people who will make a point of asking another toilet be used if one is available. Just say the en-suite is for you and the other is for everyone.

Unrelated to poop video, a game of Pong on the side of a building:

Pooping. It's a mystery.

In other news, I just realised how much 1997 defined me:

You just reminded me how fucking terrible pop music was that year. Yeesh. Not as bad as the last decade, though.

Still, many good (and not so good) movies, games and TV were released that year that played a part in my life.

Equal pay experiment with monkeys. I am not endorsing animal experiments, and I'm sorry but this is fucking hilarious.

That capuchin monkey experiment clip was pretty interesting (and funny)!

1997 - I listened to a lot of NIN, RATM and FF and I remember very little else about that entire year!

Oh, and No Diggitty is a damn fine song in my opinion, so pop music wasn't ALL bad. Just almost entirely. :D

AND SPICE GIRLS! And Macarena!! AND BARBIE GIRLS! (And for some reason this song)

(Yes, yes I was 7 years old. And yes, of course I had dance moves to all of them)

Interestingly though, in hindsight, many of my current favourite bands released their first albums that year.
