I have the 6870 dual fan card, the 1090T Black Edition 6-core AMD thing and 16gb ram. Can run pretty much everything on full, I just regret not getting a 2gb VRAM card. Maybe I'll just buy another 6870 and do dual GPU. And yeah six-core doesn't really do much for gaming but multithreading works great for Cubase and shit. Intel CPUs are better overall but then again they cost 4x as much as AMD's (from the ones I compared before I bought my components). But listen to Biert though, he's nerdier. Oh and you should look forward to having an SSD, it's ridiculously amazing.

I'm going back and forth between the AMD and Intel thing, but the rational part of me knows the Intel gives better performance. Today I'm wondering just how important are CPU performances for gaming, or is it more important to buy the best gpu? Research ahoy...

played lots of Skyward Sword the past few days and I think I'm nearing the end. It does get a little repetitive in the end but it's still fun. Guess my next big "project" will be playing through Skyrim

You'll be fine with a quadcore. The 1050T and 1090T series are great though if you want AMD.

What I found (or been told) is that most games does not utilize 4 cores, so they are kinda wasted, more so for the 6-cores and 8-cores CPU's.
I've not pulled the trigger yet, but am very close to it, maybe tonight...

yeah, I think people have weird expectations when it comes to Nintendo games. The weirdest argument for putting Nintendo games down is the lack of voice acting. I mean, come on...what else would Mario have to say besides 'It's-a me....Mario!' ?
