I'm a Nord this time. I was always an Imperial/Altmer/Dunmer in TES4.

The race you choose for your player can have considerable bearing on how some folks treat you.

I'm tempted to get this.

Pre-ordered, hoping to get it by week-end, I had not checked the song selection, but that's encouraging.

Still waiting for my copy of AssCreed: Revelations to arrive in le post but in the mean time, I bought Skyrim. BYE LIFE/GIRLFRIEND/JOB/FAMILY!

Edit: Pisstarts, I checked my memory status before installing Skyrim and I'm srsly running low. Tis only a little precious 40GB and it's really starting to get filled up... Who knows anything about what hard drives are good to get for these things? I'm definitely gonna be out of space by Christmas and that won't do at all.

That's true about your race impacting your interactions in Skyrim. Some of these Nords look at me very funny. Must be my pointy ears, or maybe it's the wicked cheekbones.

Nah, it's probably the great balls of fire streaming from my hands.

Weeeeeeeeeee!

got Skyward Sword today, the limited edition with the fancy golden Wii controller. Only played it for about an hour or 90 minutes but it's been fun so far and it looks quite beautiful for a Wii game. The Wii motion plus controls work pretty well, although I only used them in a tutorial so far but sword play has been working really well. I'm looking forward to dig deeper into it! Oh boy...Halo, Skyrim and now this...

Been playing Skyrim for the last couple days and dear lord almighty there's almost too much to do. I'm a lil' ol lizard Mage in a big busy world. Hell of a lot of fun though. Dual magic weilding is awesome. I dominate anyone until, you know, they get too close to me :D I also love how everything has a repurcussion somehow. For example, I killed a chicken and this big fucker came out of nowhere and killed me in like two hits. Dick. Then I stole a piece of bread from this guys house like forever ago and I walk back into town today and three hired goons come out of his house and start attacking me. I kill them after them nearly killing me and I was pissed this guy sent them after me. So I go into his house, light him on fire, butcher him with my dagger, then drag his mutilated body outside past his mother and dump it in the center of town. Teach people to get pissed about me stealing their bread...

played some more Skyward Sword and finished the first dungeon. It's a lot of fun really. It feels very much like a Zelda game, despite the slightly different kind of world. But I don't see change as a problem. If there's one thing I'd criticize it would be the controls. Sword play works fine and flying from area to area works really well too. But precise jumping is a whole different story. As with most Wii games that sort of precision does not work all that well. It's not a game breaker though. Another thing I am not super happy with is the camera. But that is also a problem that most Wii games have. Aside from these minor issues I had a really good time with the game so far!

I will have to play Skyrim soon again though or I'll forget how that game works!

Recently, I've been hiding away in the last few generations when it comes to games, though I do intend to get Skyrim and Saints Row: The Third. Too many brown military FPSs, too few innovation. Not that there haven't been great games released this generation (BioShock, Bethesda RPGs, BioWare RPGs, Indie Games, so on) but there are so many CoD clones out there that it can't be good for the industry. My thoughts aside, recently I've been replaying Resident Evil 2, this time as Claire. It's a kinda different experience, especially when you start out with somewhere around 150 bullets. I do kinda wish that I had the DualShock version, though, if only for analog control and vibration. Either way, still a classic.

Saints Row : The third, I got a good number of hours played, and it's good but not great.
They changed the control scheme, and the car driving just feels off, it's manageable, but not great.
I like the new skill system, and weapon upgrades are fun too, makes cash more important.
Map feels smaller though.

I'm with you there. Military Simulator 10,000 doesn't excite me too much. Unless it's set in WW2. For some reason I still enjoy delivering headshots to Nazis.

Just became a werewolf in Skyrim today. Bad ass. Also happened to come across a ghost headless horseman riding around the other night... Tried to follow him but ended up sliding down a mountain on my horse accidentally and dying.

still enjoying Skyward Sword greatly. I can't believe it's actually keeping me from playing Skyrim but I guess nostalgia beats everything else  It's been a lot of fun so far. I guess some people are kind of ticked off due to the fact that there's no huge open world where you can just walk everywhere. Instead you fly everywhere as the open world itself is set in the sky. Doesn't bother me at all as flying is a whole lot of fun. The dungeons have been a lot of fun so far too. Finished the second one yesterday and the second boss and had a blast. Despite the few differences compared to other Legend of Zelda games it still feels like one to me.

But yeah, I'll have to say it again. I need to play Skyrim again soon or I'll forget how the game works!
