Ohhh awesome, thanks! I'm slowly building a game library on my new computer and although I've played this to death on my xbox, it's a staple.

Gears of War 3 is mindless and silly as expected....but kicks soooo much ass and is tons of fun I'm playing through it for the first time right now and am playing it on hardcore difficulty. Easier than expected, especially since your fellow COGs do a much better job helping you up again when you're downed compared to GOW1 and GOW2.

I remember when Call of Duty was purely a WWII game. Nothing wrong with killing zombies, but this makes it seem like this is what the series is all about. Maybe they should release one entirely of a world at war with zombies, and have classic battles as bonus rounds?

Must everything be zombified these days? It's like every other new game has some kind of zombie-mode or zombie expansion pack. God forbid they start developing them in games I might like, although they already crossed that bridge with Undead Nightmare.

Playing Fallout: New Vegas for the first time since late-May, now that all the DLCs have been released (though there is an all-encompassing weapon pack add-on due out in a couple of days), and I'm very impressed.
This is now my 4th playthrough overall...been going at it solid for 3 days this time......and it hasn't crashed yet!! (<-trying not to jinx it)
Looks as if the 1.4.0.525 patch has done the trick, 'cos it would crash a dozen or more times a day - even on my monster gaming PC.

NV was nice yep, and thanks to me being late to the party I missed all the buggy stuff. Ok, it CTD'd once or twice, but nothing Stalker-Clear-Sky-on-launch-day dramatic.

On my 4th try at completing Fallout New Vegas, getting to the end stage, clicking the yes I want to go forward, mission loads up, I take a few paces, someone shoots at me, I unholster my gun and the game freezes.
4th time trying to complete this game, and it always freezes at the same place, screw it I'll watch the ending on youtube. I'd be more pissed, but I was expecting it, and Fallout was stopping me from starting on Dead Island.

Dead Island, it's definately a slow starter, and as of now I'm hoping it's the kind of games that builds up and ramps up the intensity as it goes.
Mechanics are ok, if not very complicated, and the plot is basically unexistant as of now, going on the 3rd chapter.
It's still neat to kill zombies, but nothing has hooked me yet.
Playing with Xian, should have went with the Blunt weapon guy, but thought his mannerism might annoy me.

NHL12 is good, but I'm still getting used to the new mechanics. Wish they had more up to date rosters.

finished Gears of War 3. As expected it was not all that hard on Hardcore difficulty so it's good I started on that setting right away. The campaign is great! They put a lot more effort into the story this time. The campaign seemed to be pretty lengthy which was a nice surprise and the gameplay is a blast as usual. There's a few on-rails sections again as usual and one of them in particular was simply beautiful. I hope to be able to play it with friends soon. 4 player coop must be fun! Need to get a new xbox live gold membership for that first though, hehe.
