From my bed. Had a shit house run of Meniere's Disease attacks in the past month that have prevented me from getting to my new job too often. Considering taking a few weeks off without pay to dedicate my energies towards improving my health. Gonna see a new GP, a new specialist (although that will probably take months) and a few other health professionals that may be able to help.

Here's to getting well!

I was tested for Meniere's once. However, they decided I'd just been terribly unlucky and had had several viral attacks of labyrinthitis. It has left me with a tendency to get dizzy more easily than other people perhaps.. dancing, for instance. Also sometimes if a headcold is particularly 'juicy' I can get ye old room-spinning sensation when I roll onto my left side in bed. Weird.

So, knowing the milder end of your symptoms I can safely empathise that Meniere's would suck severely! I hope you can find some new treatment to help.

Thanks guys!

Sadly they don't know what causes Meniere's but there are several theories floating around and the lifestyle changes based on these theories have offered some people relief, so I'm working on those ideas now. Hoping to get myself well enough that I can ride my bike to work and back each day - 11km each way. Gotta have a goal! Baby 2 is due in December so I'm on a wellness campaign (I hate the word wellness but it applies).

Gotta start with an attitude change as I've been feeling far too sorry for myself.

So, with that... I'll stop moaning and start cheering the fuck up! :D

Taking a break and reminding myself that if I'm going to refer to watching Pacific Rim as giving oneself a Pacific Rim-job, to not say it nearby an agent on the phone.

After two friends just called/texted me to check if I was alive, I phoned my mum who is on holiday:

Me: Mum, we might have to evacuate. The factory in the neighbourhood is on fire and there might be a gas explosion.
Mum: Ok, but I can't talk right now. I am waiting for the plumber to phone me.

...so yeah. That's what's up right now. I'm just chillin' and knitting, waiting for shit to go down.

I concur. Apart fine the hat part. That, and subsequent photographic evidence are both suddenly essential

Finally, after 6 hours of "Maybe we will evacuate, maybe not. Maybe it will explode, maybe it won't", they've finally announced control over the fire, and thus no evacuation is necessary. Phew. Hooray for fire fighters!

And about the hat.... perhaps when I've finished the two sweaters, the two pairs of socks, and the two pairs of pot-holders I am currently working on. Maybe. :P

I'm glad the house is still standing and that my neighbourhood doesn't smell of farts (propane). :D

Haha, that's all good. Spring will be here in a few weeks so my woolly hat days are limited.

Really glad it all turned out ok.
