Try a different server. Undernet has several servers, some of them (including the Finnish server) require Ident, others don't.

yeah, nothing happened. Then I just switched to mIRC and everything worked fine.

If you type the /quote pass in small letters it's usually ok.

some guy got arrested in the parking lot there yesterday for drunk driving...he came back and saw that movie today, almost had to throw him out

I didn't so much meet one of the forum members(at least to my knowledge) in real life but another very big Devin Townsend fan on a game called Team Fortress 2. Basically in the game you have sprays (basically just a picture you upload that can be put on a surface in the game) and my spray is an old promo picture of Strapping Young Lad, anyways I put my spray randomly on a wall and suddenly some guy asks who has that spray, and I ended up in an in game conversation about Devin's music. While technically it isn't what this thread is about it still was pretty cool finding another Devy fan completely by random.
