Talk about whatever you want to here, but stay correct

I'm not a big fan of saying I have guilty pleasures, but rather I will just bluntly admit to liking a band or their songs. I've got nothing to hide or be embarrassed of for listening to music I like.

Having said that, I'd have to say that the band that sticks out the most in my library of tunes would have to be Elkland...a electronically-driven new wave-ish pop/rock band (who are now split-up) that, if you were to listen to their lone album, you'd think had just stepped out of a time machine sent from 1987 and were given a record contract.

I love mindless Self indulgence, but it's not really a guilty pleasure.

Tears for Fears is SO not a guilty pleasure. They have some stuff that is fairly well liked by critics. Or at least, I think they do. Whatever - I listen to them either way....

Um who else? Spice Girls, Backstreet Boys, AFI, Phil Collins, some HIM, some Manson, some Greenday, Eiffel 65, Prozzak, um... God there's a lot of stuff on the radio that I'll hear and don't realy know who does it, that I'll enjoy and be kind of embarassed for doing so.

How much more of your life could you waste in caring? Spill the beans or go and read the other thread you so fondly recall.

I posted that reply out of curiosity. I honestly could care less if there was one, I wasn't being snotty with my reply. No need to blow shit out of your ass at me for it.

I've never been bitched at for such a stupid thing either, and I have a lot of whiny females in my life.

Please accept my sincerest apologies. It was rude of me to assume that your observation was little more than yet another 'This has been discussed before, therefore everything discussed in this thread is null and void'.

See, you wouldn't get a 'whiny female' to back down quite so gracefully.

That being said, if it was what I thought it was, then there is every need to 'blow shit out of your ass' at you for it.

Personally I believe that this site is a discussion forum before it is a concise and efficiently cross referenced encyclopedia to Hevy Devy.

Long may the hours wasted here be ours to waste. Bring on the duplicate subjects and threads.

Talking of whiny females, I have a thing for the 'production' on 'I believe in you' by Kylie Minogue.

Should I feel guilty?

I get it. What I meant was, the stuff at the VERY end of your list that you probably wouldn't tell people right away, just because there's other music that is more 'your style'. So, I would say Devin's music is at #1, and something like Eiffel 65 would be at #238, because I enjoy the crap out of both of them, but for different reasons, and because Devin's music is more 'my style.'

Hey, I have a Tasmin Archer album. I got a promo copy back when I worked at Musicland or Camelot. It's the one with Sleeping Satellite. Good song. :)

Don't care about DM that much, but Alan Wilder's Recoil makes really unusual stuff, quite difficult to categorize, like electronic gospel-ambient-whatever, with bluesy slide guitar, preacher style vocals and lotsa electronic stuff amongst it. It's not only odd, it's good:

And I have Babylon Zoo's MC too

I love Gwen Stefani. So much that I joined a fan club and got 2nd row tickets to one of her shows over the summer. It was amazing.
