I saw The Island for the first time last night and I too thought it was a fairly enjoyable wee romp. Had a bit of a Logan's Run feel about it in places.

Logan's Run... now there's a classic sci-fi flick. Thanks for the reminder!

It was indeed.

Quite a stunning looking film. I liked the anatomically-correct decapitations particularly.
Definitely not an accurate history lesson, but I knew that months ago.
I was intrigued by its stylishness, and the savagery that must have been evident during the Greco-Persian Wars; where so many hundreds of thousands were killed.

A nice touch to show the situation a year later at Plataea - where the Persians were bent over and rogered...

And definitely a great thing - to be served alcohol and food during the movie - while relaxing in a huge recliner chair. :)

Saw 300 tonight and yes, we enjoyed it.

(In my Sweet Rating System it came in as a really good. I ate 3 skittles at the start of the movie and then forgot to eat the rest)

Seen any of those yet! So there should be another reason for this post, I guess...

So... What about: Hey Steph! Where've you been?
