Talk about whatever you want to here, but stay correct

The amount of money I use for video games has gone way down over the past couple of years because I've started to buy cds and Rock Band DLC has eaten quite of bit of money too.
Last year I bought only about three games and so far this year maybe two. But I might get some more games this year since I have begun to use libraries to get records.

That's cos you suck, Norway.

Looking through this thread, it looks like I actually live in one of the best countries to be a gamer. At least this stupid nation is good for something...

If I say that every game left this year will cost me €50 (they all won't), my spending for the rest of the year looks like:
June - €100 (Naughty Bear & Transformers: War for Cybertron)
July - €0
August - €50 (Mafia II)
September - €50 (Dead Rising 2)

Q3/4 - €250 (Fallout: New Vegas, The Last Guardian, Agent, L.A. Noire, Portal II) - Chances are a lot of them won't see the light of day this year though, I'm just going on speculated release dates...

This will probably be my most spending on video games ever in a year. With Orl being gone and college usually ruining my and most of my mates lives they provide a nice little escape from the miserable routine during the academic year...

Sometimes close to 300 in one month, and other times perhaps under 100. Depends what delicious temptations enter my field of vision...

The cost of games for ye still baffles my brain... Red Dead Redemption only cost me €35... Game prices rarely go above €50 nowadays, and prices drop pretty quickly after release as well so you get em cheap if you wait a week a lot of the time.

Ugh, the Limited Edition was $127.99 here on both Xbox and PS3 - and the standard edition was $109.99. It's really the main reason why my spending is so high by comparison - because the games are so expensive. Breaks my heart, it does! Nobody should have to pay so much for a game. :( Prices don't tend to drop swiftly here either - more often than not, cheap games come about by importing from overseas.

I still haven't bought Red Dead Redemption either, as it seems it's still sold out! Supplier should have more this week, so fingers crossed it's enough to warrant I can snag a copy ;)

Games like RDR see price drops sometimes a year after their release here. Occasionally there will be a sale, 10 maybe 15-20 dollars off for a weekend.

They had stocked up so much on shitty war games, that the whole of the UK was sold out of RDR for a period of time. Yay us!

I can't really tell what my average spent on games is, because I tend to trade in a lot before a I buy something new. Sometimes that acan be the difference of ten pound, or it can buy me two new games, depending on when and what I trade back in. Probably spend more than I should but less than I want.

Sold out here too... Original Monday batch was gone all over... Gamestop got a new batch of 1000 copies at 10am on Tuesday, I went to get mine at 3:30 and I got the third last one. Madness.

Picked up UFC Undisputed 2010 on the PS3 after renting it - love it. Career mode is good fun, sucking you in for just one more sparring match or fight to build up your cred and abilities. I SUCK at grappling etc though - gotta practice my R-twirling and get my transitions happening.

Felt the exact same as 2009 for me, just with an overly-excited Joe Rogan... They've still got a bit of work to do to perfect it. I find it gets boring after one career, to be honest. Sometimes before the career even ends.

I got Muramasa: The Demon Blade for Wii yesterday. I'm in love! It reminds me a lot of Odin Sphere, but with samurai & swordsmen (& women!)

And thus - only partially related, but I ordered this yesterday also because I love Momohime. :3

Picked up RDR. Honestly, it's really cool and there's a lot to it, but I am not fond of the horse controls. I don't like this whole "Tap A to move faster" thing. It just feels weird when playing this kind of game.

it is weird...I thought so in the beginning too. And pressing RB to halt the horse is also pretty unusual. But you'll get used to it and at some point you'll realise that it wouldn't work any other way since aiming and shooting while riding would probably hardly work then.

I just ordered that, Madworld, and Okami for 50 bucks (minus 20 due to a credit I had)

I take it by 'that' you mean the game, and not the figure from Japan that I linked to? lol.

I haven't played 2009 so it was all fresh for me. But then Joe Rogan is an exciteable fella at the best of times!

I know what you mean though - I've gone from light heavyweight champ to heavyweight champ and now I'm feeling like "now what?". BUT my guy's a badass stand-up fighter with strong clinch/grapple defence. In other words I can't win by submission to save myself. So that's the challenge for me. If i have a criticism of the game it's that the clinch/grapple R stick work seems indecipherable at times.

Got all those Ultimate Fights to do too, as well as 4 Blu Ray fights to watch.
