My tech time is dedicated to testing/configuring my "new" computer. Admittedly, this has mostly consisted of playing Grim Fandango and The Secret of Monkey Island: Special Edition.

Certain $200.00+ proprietary components of my old computer came from a batch with transistor issues. So I decided to stop dumping money into it and commissioned a scrap monster. As you can imagine, we're not exactly talking about a mighty behemoth here. Think it's a 1.8 GHZ Intel Celuron processor with 2gig of RAM and an ATI HD 3400 series videocard. Still, $40.00 is less than $200.00 now and $400 down the road.

Sigh! :D

My housemate bought Darksiders, and I decided to give it a spin. After the first couple of bosses, I had a bad CBA(can't be arsed) attack. the controls are horribly broken; unnecesarily complicated when they decide to respond.

Case in point: targeting. throwing vehicles and using your weapon have different buttons for targeting, but you can't perform both actions at the same time.

bring on BC2 and Final Fantasy X3

I preordered FF 13 at the last second... something I had decided I wouldn't do.

And then I heard the battle theme.

Let's rock.

Bad Company 2 is leaps and bounds ahead of the first game, and a really solid competitor to MW2. The humor really makes the game a lot more enjoyable than MW2's constant ultra-serious attitude.

I'm dying to play Metro 2033, I've read good things. I'm actually going to pass up God of War 3 for it. Survival horror games come before hack n slash in my book.

That's exactly the way I felt after playing Warfares and Bad Company. MW1 made me feel bad for killing people in game for the first time ever in my gaming history, but after getting into BC I just couldn't help but love the characters and how enjoyable they were.
I usually hate those lot talking team mates that just taaalk and taaalk, but first time I actually just stopped and waited
for their stories and conversations they started when waiting for me to move :D

I held BC2 yesterday in my hands, but 70 euros is soooooo much money.. I pay the same amount for electric company each month!
I can't wait but I have to.
And now FFX3 arrived too..
Le fu.

The game has been in development for years, i think i just stopped caring after a while, until recently, as it draws closer to release, i actually see myself getting excited for it again
I'm hoping that its an extremely long playing experience. i remember myself getting lost in part 9 many years ago and loving it

INDEED! Even if it's only just more fun levels added, I will be extremely excited. Yet, knowing Valve, there should be a really cool new wrinkle as well.

I'm not 100% sure about FFXIII yet. I know japanese RPG's are usually linear but this one is supposed to be much more linear than any other FF game. Basically just walking along a path all the time. So I'd like to hear a few opinions on it first.
I played some Mega Man 9 lately since I didn't do too well in it so far and managed to get through all robot boss stages but...4 Dr. Wily stages without being able to save your progress in between? Ugh. I know it's supposed to be oldschool but I don't know if I have the will do get through all 4 in a row...meh.
