Welcome aboard!

Hello, my name is Evan. I'm from Linden, California, which is about 15 miles southeast of Stockton. Currently, I'm enrolled at American River College for a associate's degree in comercial music.

I first encountered The Devin Townsend Project while looking for new prog bands through progarchives.com. I am truely grateful for that site's existance for it introduced me to the awesomeness that is Dev's music. For the longest time, I have been trying to find a band like Devin's project. In fact, it helped me find other great prog bands, such as Porcupine Tree, Periphery, Cynic, and others. I highly recommend this site to anyone who hasn't used it and/or wants to be spoiled with the knowledge of thousands of great prog bands such as DTP.

Anyways, I hope to have some great and interesting conversations with the fans of Devin. And I'm sure I will because anyone who likes his music MUST be interesting.

Unfortunately I can't, I have work that day :/

I really wish it were on the Thursday or Friday of that week though. Usually those are the only days I have off.

Several. He's a pretty damn terrific live performer. I do get to go see him, and mostly because he plays at the venue that's 10 minutes by bus from my house. But I'm not trying to rub it in, I'm sure he'll be back. Since he's been touring as the Devin Townsend Project he's never missed San Francisco.

This will be my first time seeing Devin. I was living in Colorado, and though Devin often plays Denver, it was a good 4 hour drive for me, and responsibilities never allowed me the time.

That's cool, and I really hope he chooses SF as one of the dates where he plays all of his project albums entirely. If he hasn't chosen them yet that is haha.

Have either of you heard any news on the box set by the way? I probably should have waited to buy his 4 albums since they'll be included in it. >.<

Hello, I'm Cathy, I'm from CROYDON! That's in London, England. I'm a bit of an old school rocker, I love everything music-wise, rock, metal, blues and also flamenco and classical. I've got a bit of an esoteric bent, I am not particularly artistic but I have loads of friends who are and I actually bother to look at their stuff and appreciate it. My brother and his partner are artists, he got the genes. I can't even draw. I LOVE surrealist and dark spooky art. I like Devin Townsend, especially his recent stuff, I'm still expanding my knowledge of him but I think the first thing I heard of his was Skeksis, played at ear splitting volume at my mate's house, he was a sound engineer at a local biker's pub I used to go to, anyone here remember The Cartoon? "Everything Louder Than Everything Else" LOL so Devin fit the bill perfectly! Oh yeah, and I'm friends with LETTUCE!
