Hello folks.
I'm from Brazil (so sorry for any possible mistakes), I've been into metal for around 6 years (that if you don't count when I liked only alt metal and nu metal and stuff, and that sums another three-ish years into the mix), I'm somewhat of a hobbyist composer and never noticed when I became a Devin fan; the first listens didn't interest me, but his music started to grow on me, and when I least expected I was already gushing about Dev's genious, like everybody here.

Cheers.

Hi all,

I'm Chris from Rotterdam, Netherlands. I've been into Devin's music (pretty much all of it) for 2-3 years, last year's DTP gig @ Eindhoven was his first concert I saw, I've been to 5 more of Devin's concerts this year, Groningen (last wednesday) being the most recent.

Seeing the same faces, and Devin asking me if I posted on this forum, made me decide to have a look here. Looks fun so far!

So... be seeing you!

Chris.

Hi all,

greetings from the UK. I just accidently came across this forum when checking some reviews for Ghost album, which I ordered today (hope it arrives soon).
I've been a solid fan of Devin's music since my first encounter with Ocean Machine back in 1997. Still one of my all time favorite albums.

Cheers

Hi all,

Somehow missed the rule where it's encouraged to first post something here.

I'm a 25 year-old film school student from Finland and I've been a Devin fan since I heard Accelerated Evolution when it first came out in 2003. Through the years Devin's music has been an inspiration to me and I've been amazed so many times again and again by his stuff. (Even though the editor in me would like to cut some stuff off of the almost-perfect Synchestra to make the whole a bit more balanced, but anywhooo!)

I'm also a hobbyist guitarist since I was 11 and I've always been fascinated with films and prog 8)

This spring I made a short film and during editing I stumbled upon "Drench" and soon realized that it was perfect for my short film and blah blah - I've already made a thread about this...

I'm now taking some time off and relaxing at a summer cottage and editing a making of documentary for an upcoming Finnish feature film by Aku Louhimies. I hope the madness of Deconstruction (which I can't stop listening to) doesn't influence my editing, because the producers might be confused of the result

So yeah...
peace!

Welcome new people! Don't worry about getting integrated with everything and everyone, we only bite if it's kinky.

Signed up quite some time ago but never got around to post something here  I'm from the Netherlands, 36 years old and been listening to Dev's music for 10 years now. First introduction to Devin was a blistering show on the 2001 Wâldrock Festival, with Gene Hoglan on drums  That was certainly an eye/ear opener! The release of "Terria" that same year sealed the deal for me, basically. And things are only getting better with each new release!

Anyways, nice to meet you all and sorry for not posting any sooner :)

Cheerz!

Hi All,

I recently started listening to Devin having read some rave reviews about 'Addicted'... I'm now an avid Devin fan, I've never heard such a broad range of musical styles come from one artist before and I have to say I love it all. I'm from the UK and my passion is being a music fan, just got myself VIP tickets to the 'Ghost' show in November which I can't wait for.

Look forward to getting involved on the forum!

Cheers

Hello!

My name is Mariana, from Portugal. I'm old enough to vote... and drive... and drink, in some countries... hum...
Been listening to Devin for about 5 years, and I'll see him live for the first time this year. Which makes me smile. Very much. And cry.
I think that's it.

Ha! So hey, I've been meaning to do this since I found out that we're supposed to. Didn't jump on it as I don't do forums, never have really, but have come to see that you guys are screwed-up enough for me. ;) Hell I wrote like 3 paragraphs to post in here the other night then held the back button on my phone for a second too long. Aaagghhh! WTF? Yea so I access laptop bout once a week but between jobs right now blahblahblah. Not very tech savvy so don't make fun. I guess that's what makes me more shy in the world of internets. So I think you guys are great so far. :) Bunch of weird freaks. First heard Earth Day on a mixed cd burned by a friend. I daresay I fell in love. Couldn't get enough of one song so demanded an entire album from my friend. He burned Ocean Machine for me. Love confirmed. So I've purchased as many of Dev's albums that I've been able to afford and burned what I can't. Still love them all. I love the metals. I love being creative. I'm also a cheeseball. Better just say that or I will go on all night. Much love to you guys.eard Earth Day on a mixed cd burned by a friend. I daresay I fell in love. Hello, everyone! I'm a Dev fan from Greece! I started listening to SYL about a year ago and I was hooked. I've listened to all SYL and DTP albums and will listen to the solo and DTB albums soon.

OH, GLORIOUS CHEESEBURGER, BLESS THIS FORUM!

I was a member of this forum before, but it was two years ago; I just got back from a mission for my church. But now I'm back with a new account because I forgot my old one, or it got deleted. Whichever it was, here I am. I've been listening to Devin's music for a little over 5 years. Not very long I know, but I've loved every minute of it. :)
