I was wondering if Devin has an email address. I would like to contact him personally to say that I like his last album.

Twitter is the way to go. He's taking a few days of from the internet, so now is not the time to try and reach him. Best thing to do is follow him there. If he starts becoming active on there again, then try tweeting him. He gets a lot of tweets, and probably misses quite a few, and definitely can't respond to all. Still, it is your best chance for getting him to see it. :)

Well it looks like its about time for me to introduce myself to all you ladies, gentlemen, extra terrestrials. I'm a 19 year old college student from the US, I've been listening to Devin's music for a few years now (unfortunately post SYL break up), my introduction to Devin's music was Ocean Machine and from then on I just continued to listen to his many projects and oddly enough have never been disappointed by any of them, each album seems to have its on soul and I can dig that. Anyways good to meet all the other Devy fans out there! Now onward to lurking the forums boards!

That's good to know. Thank you ppinkham and Leechmaster!

Hello, i'm not necessarily a newbie. my old account got recently hacked or deleted or whatever the fuck. Anyway, sure nobody's reading this but i've been a long time listener of the Dev for quite sometime now. if i had to narrow it down...since i was 15; i'm 21 now. so i've been listening to his music for about 6, going on 7 years now. first it started when i first got 'Alien' as all dumbass metal kids do, is obsess with metal cd's. but one day, i was smoking for the first time with some of my buddys and we listened to 'Accelerated Evolution'.

holy

fuck.

changed my life. i've been using open tunings (i'm a musician, also a raging dancing nerd/geek/dork) for about...2 years now(?) something like that, and i tune to B standard when i go in and out of open to a standardized tuning (if i was rich and fancy shmancy like, i'd get that Gibson computeriszed tuning pegs or w/e the fuck, and have those as my mine 2 tunings XD fuck EADGBE, that's so typical sounding...not as necessarily 'fun' i'd say to play.) but anywho, Dev's the shit. favorite musician, took me 19 years to say he beat the almighty Metallica, and that was my most favorite band. ever. but also Pelican takes 1st place as well, so it's a shared victory as 'the best of the best', and artistically original and by far, the best in my opinion to say the least.

pre-ordered Ghost and Deconstruction (30$ was a lot for shipping but hey, fuck it. it's Dev) can't wait for my double disc to come in the mail. gonna get my ticket to see him and Obscura (really Dev? Children of Boredom? i'm not making fun of you, just....C.O.B. with Obscura (also a good choice for technical DM but also a weird choice to put on with Devin TOwnsend) and the Dev is just...i don't know, off? hahaha. its not 'bad' or whatever, its just goofy sounding. like hearing Morbid Angel used to tour with Rick James in the day. you'd turn your head like "WHATTHUHFUUUUUCK?!?!?! NO WAY DUUUDE!" or something like that. that in itself is goofy sounding and it makes ya kinda laugh. like "hahahahahha, ah.....management; when will they get anything right? *and then you snap your fingers* and then nothing happens. *end joke* hahahahhaha

ah man. but anyway's, i will be attending the Dev's performance and to see Obscura play will also be a treat. however, i will not be staying for some glam ham (yes, that's an appropriate swear, like a Harry Potter 'wizard swear', to call Alexi Laiho. cuz he's a cocktail and a Randy V rip off (yes, you're not fooling anyone with that pink and yellow coating; Randy Rhoads would pump you full of lead if you saw you defile his penis. he and Jimi Hendrix played their guitar like their penis, but i'm just sayin....have some taste....pink? and the make up, are you really fooling anyone? are those bags REALLY that saggy? i'm just saying.

anyway, Dev or whomever decided to read this, you're the shit. and be one with nature. peace and love to everyone

Heeello! My name is Silje, I'm 21 years old and from Norway. Been a Devin-fan for about...hm.. 4 years now, and I love him more than ever. I saw him at his show in Oslo in March, and it was the most awesome concert-experience I've ever had. Aaah. Never been much of a fan-girlie-girl, but oh boy, that man has made me one. HEHE. Anyway. Nice to be here. :)

Btw, I'm a bit rusty at writing in English, so please excuse my poor vocabulary. And typos.

WELCOME Silje! :D Awesome to see you here! And yes, the Oslo gig was just supeeerb!

Don't worry about English really. My English is pretty limited too, but people understand what I write every now and then. :P Staying here have actually broadened my vocabulary quite a bit... all though not necessary in a good way.

Well I joined this site in March but somehow forgot about it for a while. I'm a 19 year old (as of yesterday :D) student from California, USA. I've only been a fan since February but Devin is quickly becoming one of my favorite artists. DTP is simply amazing and I just can't get enough! The problem with that is I haven't given much time to his other work. That will change soon enough. I may be seeing him in San Fransisco later this month and from what I've seen and heard, his live shows are a blast. I can't think of a better first concert. Hopefully I won't forget about this site again and I can have some fun here.

Yo. I guess I'm technically an acne face adolescent. Its been about 2 years since I was first mindblown by SYL and then shortly after, I heard Terria and was sent to a strange but wonderful dimension. After listening to that album I returned to this crazy place we call Earth. I myself am a Canadian and am proud to have the privilege of sharing the same country as Mr. Townsend. I enjoy a steady diet of metal (lots and lots of power and prog) and other ridiculous forms of music, but Devin Townsend is probably the artist I have listened to the most since I came across him. I look forward to being part of the HEVYDEVY FORUMS.
