They're kinda more influential to the world that Dutch elections, you have to admit it.

Oh come on. It's exactly this kind of crap that makes Americans think they're more important than anyone else. (No offence to the Americanos here, it's just the impression that I (and I think many fellow-Europeans and other non-Americans) get of 'the stereotypical American'.)

America's a pretty diverse place. Not all of us are fucking wankers, so I wouldn't be that quick to generalize.

That having been said, the media on this side of the Atlantic is piss-poor bullshit most of the time and really isn't worth giving too much credit.

Hate to sound biased, but it's fact that Obama put the most into his campaign, the Republican National Committee actually capped McCain's budget at $84 million. Obama had well over that.

Hardly. The drama really doesn't fit the scene, it seems. Besides, its socialist aspects arrived long before Obama (FDR, bailout bill, etc.).
