There's still a leash to walk your favourite bands.

false.

Yeah I can't imagine that. It's like illegalizing backpacks because they can be used to carry stolen things around.

Zune is nothing but DRM in a box.

I think when I buy a new mp3 player it'll be an iPod since they seem to be the easiest to use and since they're the most popular they have the most compatibility and features. Right now I have a Sony one and Sonicstage has convinced me never to buy another Sony product ever again.

Ever.

I hate it so much omg.

stabstabstab.

My iPod's killed itself forever. Damn emo. Now I've gotta fork out around €320 for a new one. I don't even want a stupid video one...

iPod is not compatible with anything but iTunes. And it doesn't have the most features either. And it's not the most reliable by miles.
My advice: Get an Archos GMini GS202S (I have that). Plugs right into your USB port and connects as external drive (or you can use it via Windows Media Player if you want to). 20GB storage, small packaging, big screen (monochrome though), easy to use and cheap!!

My iTunes is still there, it's my favourite music player (I f00king HATE Windows Media Player). I need to stick with iPod because all the CD's I've uploaded are on iTunes (In MPEG4 format, and I don't want to have to change em all to MP3/WMA or upload them all again). I don't wanna stick with iPod, but I'm a lazy bastard and its the easiest option so away I go to the shops (As soon as I get the other €290 needed :? )

In finland they just illegalized flower pots if they are suspect to be used for growing pot...

The music industry is rotten to the core. Makes it frustrating for any sane human to be an aspiring musician. Using Windows.

I wouldn't say I'm "crazy" about my ipod, but it does the job. It plays music and movies, has a nice screen and hasn't died on me. Yet!

I don't really care for any of this brand/company loyalty. As I said, the Zune just looks shithouse.

I'm thinking of buying a 80 gb ipod 5.5 because sonicstage just made me delete half the songs on my mp3 player and then decided to stop working completely after only half of them were transfered back.

Seriously if SonicStage were a person they'd be that guy who works at a fast food store and when you order fries he drops one in the deep frier and then kills himself sticking his head in trying to get it out.

I personally like anything Iriver makes because they are one of the few companies who support ogg vorbis. My whole collection is in ogg and I would hate to re-encode to aac or wma. The whole state of digital music sucks nowadays.

What? Last time I checked you can choose whethere you put DRM on your music when you're importing it onto your PC. It's not like Zune instantly rapes your MP3s or AACs and turns them into Protected WMAs.

I don't think it's cool that you're judging the Zune like this just because of one very stupidly biased review.

http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,233797,00.html is much more detailed and fair review of the Zune.

I'm probably going to wait till the second generation of Zune is out and they're matured and perfected their ideas but at least someone is trying to do something new with MP3 players.

A MP3 player without iTunes is good MP3 player in my eyes. Except those Sony ones...bleh.

Oh and Wiseblud, you're really defeating the "M$" corporation with that earlier rant. I'm guessing they must've burned your house down and killed your wife for you to be so upset over an operating system.

Everything MS does is DRM in a box these days, that's because they want to be friends with the fucked-up music/movie business. Zune is just the materialization of that.
