FFLynchpin: I know what you mean - I'd feel a bit awkward if the artist was a friend. Some places charge non-refundable deposits so you still pay for the artist's time even if you don't go for the tattoo (Miami Ink, for one). But don't let it stop you from trying to get what you want done! You've a right to be happy with your design. What've you had done on your legs?

Got the Fear Factory flames logo on my right (done when i was 18), and the Ascension of The Watchers logo on my left (done when i was 19). i had my artist make it look like that one was glowing some kind of blue aura. Turned out pretty cool i think. Can you tell Burton C Bell is my idol?

Yeah i had actually thought of that. The bands wont be around forever, but when i got them, they were so much a part of my life that i was willing to permanently etch their logos into my skin. i thought if i do ever tire of them, they will just be a mark of that stage of my life when they basically were my life. Ive had the Fear Factory logo for 5 years and the AOTW one 4 years. ive been an FF and BCB fan for over a decade. They are still my fave bands, and now so is Devin, so time for the DTB logo on my arm

Thank you Stella, i just thought my right leg was a perfect place for the FF tat, and decided when i got the other to be symmetrical. I was planning on getting more sooner, but never got around to it
