Tattoo artists are called artists for a reason - for my Gibson tatt I told the artist what I wanted and he drew the design out. I liked it and went ahead with the design as drawn - but you don't have to. You can always ask for amendments (they are considerably easier to do on paper than skin!). Check out some local tattoo artists and find one who's style you like.

Yeah i got me an artist. i already have 2 tattoos (both on my legs oddly enough). i already had the design for both, but the one he freehanded some stuff. Looks really good. i just dont want to have him draw something for me and then if it doesnt look right have to tell him so. i dunno, im wierd like that

Got the Fear Factory flames logo on my right (done when i was 18), and the Ascension of The Watchers logo on my left (done when i was 19). i had my artist make it look like that one was glowing some kind of blue aura. Turned out pretty cool i think. Can you tell Burton C Bell is my idol?
