Why not try a motorcycle helmet? That way, when you fall off your head will still feel comfy and not be spread across the road.

Is that your mom on the left, Nathan?

or a prussian helmet!

She doesn't look like a Prussian helmet.

Helmets are a pain in the proverbial. I like to dress safely when I ride but I do get fed up with it taking twenty minutes to get all the gear on, and it has to go on in the right order or I waste more time fumbling with zips and buckles. However, at least if I fall off I should keep all my bits and pieces in the right place. What bikes do you have? And any pics of them?

Stella Cartography wrote:Ta, I beaded it by hand for a gig organised by ex-Whitesnake guitarist Bernie Marsden. It's my prrrecioussss. I had a tattoo of a twin neck put on my back four weeks ago too, so when I next wear the shirt out I'll be matching front and back.

Oh cool! Nice beading job... I could never do that, ever! My hands are too fat, too sweaty, too stumpy. I guess that's why I took up bass?

Was the tattoo in color or black/grey? Cool tattoo idea - how about another one of the ass-phone picture? Kidding! Kidding... that would be atrocious.

Thanks - I quite like beading when I'm watching TV (if my hands are busy sewing they're not busy stuffing food into my face). It doesn't take much skill to do though - just patience. Playing bass takes a lot more skill to do than beading a shirt!

The tattoo is in colour - it's the red twin neck I've had done. I was thinking of having a tattoo done on my thigh this year, but I hadn't considered the ass phone pic as a design. Personally I think the tattoo artists I go to would charge extra to cover their psychiatrist's bills if I made them ink that photo on me. They've already told me that they have a 'cock surcharge' for men who want a tattoo done 'down there'.

They look like they might both be related to you Nathan. You do know that if they are it doesn't count, don't you? Unless you're from certain areas of the world, of course.

i wear all the leather biker gear, i just dont care to wear a helmet on my cruiser cause it hurts my neck to wear for too long. Also, you just dont get the same effect. But i got the full leather racing gear with the fullface helmet for my sportbike.

i got a 2006 Suzuki GSX-R1000 (red and black) and a 2008 Kawasaki Vulcan 900LT (white and silver). i got tons of pics on my myspace of my Suzuki (its my baby), but only 2 of my Kawasaki from the day i brought it home. No updated pics yet, as i have majorly customized it in the meantime.

Nice - I'm not a big fan of sports bikes, (more of a cruiser fan) but that's a rather nice piece of machinery! One of my friends has a GSXR 750 which she's had a custom paint job done on - it looks brilliant. It'll be interesting to see pics of the Kawasaki if you've finished customising it too.

And hey - you own a cruiser, you live in the US, and you've gone for a Jap bike and not a Harley?

Yay - I've just noticed that I'm a bastard now! I'm so happy!

Harley = Overpriced and overrated. Dont get me wrong, i like them, but i dont have that kind of budget. Jap bikes work just fine for me (even better imho) :) My brother bought a HD softail custom for $26000, and i paid $7500 for my deluxe tourer. i will get a pic up of my cruiser sometime soon when spring comes and i can dust it off.

Sorry about the off-topic here people

I know what you mean about the price - and a lot of people consider them to be mechanically a bit outdated. I still aim for a Sportster one day though.... I await the cruiser pic when the weather picks up!

Also sorry about the off-topic - maybe there should be a bike thread? :)

That's one of the strangest pictures I've seen in a long time. I would ask what's going on there, but I'm not sure I want the answer. And yet, it's not quite enough to wipe the memory of Nathan's profile pic out of my memory.
