G'day. I'm James, from Australia. Dev is good....

I'd like to thank Devin... You opened my mind when is was 14 years old.
I had my own, crappy band, but I was sick of just playing guitar some guy told me to play... I wanted to create... But we continued... Then one day my cousin comes up to me and says.... "James my good man, listen to this" He handed me Strapping Young Lad - City. I was in awe! I couldn't believe the drummer... I continued to listen and listen then i got another CD in my face, Ocean Machine. Beautiful! Then Infinity, Godlike! I couldn't help but notice how different from "metal" it was. It was creative.... I learned that Devin Townsend produces his own music. So I began.... I downloaded some crappy drum program called "Drum Matic 2000" or some shit and started recording my own music.... It allowed me to express ANYTHING I wanted without consulting some guy with a bass or drums. Don't get me wrong, I love playing in a band, but I need to be my whacky self...

So, in conclusion I would like to thank Devin Townsend, and everyone else involved in the music and creativity of Strapping Young Lad and Co. You helped me choose a path which let me be ME, which I believe is one of the most important things anyone can do.

Peace my brothers

Hi!

I've been spying on this forum for a while now, but wanted to wait til I had a decent connection (56k baaaaaad) and my exams done.

Anyway the ADSL kit doesn't arrive (even when I asked for it a some weeks ago) and I got bored of studying, so decided to write something :P

My name's David, I'm from Madrid and I am studying Maths here at university. Finished today classes, but my february exams start next wednesday, so I should start studying hard.

Ok, that's enough for today! :)
