Funerals. I cannot handle them at all... Not able to cope with the fact that a friend is in a box and that's where they'll be for the rest of my life. Also linked to my amazing hatred of changes. It's shit.

I know your pain. Enjoy your friends that you still have, and give the one that has passed the best memorial by living your life as fully as you can in their memory, as they would do for you. And, let your grief be felt fully.

We need more of a "Just plain WHY THE FUCK DOES THIS KEEP HAPPENING TO ME" thread for my thoughts right now.

But since we only have an Un-awesome thread, here we go:

My work truck has had bad air for a long time. It worked once in a while, it was very frustrating and I finally got fed up with it and left it at the mechanic's for a week while on vacation from work.

Come today, the day before I go back to work, I pick the truck up expecting to have nice, cold air conditioning to keep me from going insane on the job.

Well it ended up the exact opposite. My truck has literally no air at all now and I have to go work in this horribly hot weather with no air. So tomorrow when I go in, I'm refusing to work until I get a truck with air or I get my air fixed.

The worst they can do is fire me, and if they do then I can get un-employment pay until I can find a new job. Ask me if I'm worried about getting fired from a job I want to quit more than anything in the world?

I thought you were an airconditioning mechanic? :P

Just open the windows man, a little breeze through the cockpit should cool you down.

Here lemme put this in a way you might understand:

It's about 35-37C every day here. There is no "breeze" it's just more hot air. After coming out of an attic that is over 50C, you want something more than a little breeze of warm air to cool you off. I have to deal with this from 7:30 am to whenever I finally get done with everything I'm handed throughout the day, which can be up to and over a 12 hour day. I'm done with it. It's a death sentence.

Also, we dont work on vehicles, those have completely different a/c systems.

Even if a breeze consists of warm air, it'll still feel cool. Besides, switching from hot to cold environments is quite unhealthy - especially when it's multiple times a day.

You're in The Netherlands, so it's somewhat hard to imagine, but Florida is REALLY fucking hot. In America.

Trust us, we're Americans.

The Netherlands can get REALLY fucking hot too. In The Netherlands.

Occasionally. But when it does, it's the unbearable humid kind. And a breeze in the face is a fucking relief.

No point arguing with people complaining about the weather.

But I just checked weather forecast in some part of Netherlands, and the high was like 87. So while Florida can get to high 90's, yes, you do understand.

However, on one visit to Miami, I did fry an egg on pavement... (In America)
