That drive home from Killarney in the pissing rain was quite un-awesome, must be said. Also got the really awful news yesterday that one of the women who has a stall outside my shop in town collapsed and died out of nowhere on Sunday night. Really sucks. She was such a laugh. :(

Only being able to run for ten minutes before having a stich for ten minutes afterwards. I am so hideously un-fit.

What about walking or hiking? Running is really hard on the knees - a long, hard walk can be just as good without taking a toll on your joints IMO.
Plus, it's taken me a long time to learn.... some people just aren't runners. Don't know about you, but I can't run for long periods of time to save my life. I'm a horrible runner! But I can power walk for miles 8)

Well it's up to you :) I've been doing long ass walks for maybe 7 years now... it keeps my weight in check at the very least. If I keep the exercise up steadily, I lose weight steadily; but IMO, it becomes something I do for fun, rather than for health benefints. You take off with some good music, and there's nothing in between you, your music, and your thoughts. It's something like being in a euphoric trance. I should note that I've got a really slow metabolism because of a thyroid problem... so you could probably get away with not being as intense and strict about exercise as I am. Plus, men are more efficient about burning calories, and gaining muscle mass than women are... no matter what you do, I'm sure you'll take any excess easily.

Wow, really!? That's great that you exercise regularly. I'm sorry you're not noticing a difference though, are you getting your heart rate up? A good rule of thumb is, if you're not sweating, you're not working hard enough
I walk a little over 3 miles in about an hour... so I'm hustling, and I think that's why it's been working. It's not like a stroll, it's gets sweaty and out of breath sometimes  Seriously though, listening to music while out walking is the only reason I've stuck with it for so long -
endorphins + good music = natural high like nothing else :D

p.s I like the new avatar Nathan, I feel that it suits you xD

I used to walk home from school every now and again, probably once every two weeks.

3.5 miles, quickest time: 48 mins 47.3 secs

But I never really did it strictly for excercise, it was just, the only way home when my day ended early.

I do about the same distance and style. Yep, it's good.

Good good; that's how I get results at least :) Even a half an hour a day or every other day should yield results if you're working efficiently enough. I think pace is more important than distance.
