Personally, when feeling down for whatever reason -
I drive way up into the hills and look down at everything from the skyline. I also like star gazing up in the hills at night time Makes me feel small, and insignificant as the saying goes; and I think of how Carl Sagan saying that we're all made of 'star stuff.' Literally. Everyone's just stardust...

The insignificance thing takes the pressure of life off for a bit, doesn't it? You get to feel like life is your own again.
