Poor, poor Ghana... My god. That final few seconds was utter insanity... Feel so bad for Gyan. He's been absolutely brilliant all tournament and was clearly inconsolable at the end.

Yeah, I really think that PK in the last minutes of extra time broke him. I wish Ghana had won it; they were the better team, and they deserved the win. It's just too bad it worked out as it did.

Hell yes, and hopefully I will! Germany destroyed Argentina and it was beautiful to see that fuckface Maradona have his hopes and dreams crushed. Klose, Schweinsteiger, and Müller were all in very good form--it was very fun to watch.

Anyway, I like the way Spain play, and I think the next will be a tough match for Germany, but if Germany perform well, they'll play (presumably) the Netherlands on July 11. And I think the Dutch might have to settle for second in that case.

As a Mannschaft fan from way back (Matthäus ist Gott) I'm honor-bound to say that, but I wouldn't mind seeing Spain or The Netherlands win it either. I actually picked Spain pre-tournament.

Debatably beautiful win from the Dutch yesterday. The one goal probably should have had van Persie offside, but there've been quite a few of those sorts of calls this World Cup. It was really a 50-50 game the whole time, but Holland made more of their opportunities, and Forlán couldn't do it alone (maybe with Suarez). I'm glad they won, but I'm not sure how they'll fare in the final.

I could be wrong, but I think Germany will take the match again today. Müller's out on suspension, but Germany didn't do too poorly when Klose was out. Then again, Spain really have the potential to give them trouble. It's anyone's game, and I expect it will be a fantastic match, but I'm pulling for the Germans.
