The album leaked early this morning (CD rip) and eventually the official site, and the fanclub (The Spiral) has it for stream, for free.

Is it possible I am actually finished writing and recording a new nine inch nails record? Apparently so. We begin mixing in January!

Juggling fifteen all-new tracks around. Testing sequences. No leftovers from "with teeth". Highly conceptual. Quite noisy. Fucking cool.

By Noisy, I hope he means noisy like 'Broken/Downward Spiral'.

I remember when he announced With Teeth was done and was ready for mixing. We had songs leak every month

I always thought Reznor's music was pretty average, personally.

That's cool. I guess now that Trent's over his drinking and record label and other such problems he's able to write music a lot faster.

Then again, come to think of it, I only did listen to With Teeth 2-3 times...

I didnt give much time to with teeth at all. Live the tracks didnt hold up too well either.,., but that could have been a mass familiarity issue. I'm seeing nin for the 3rd time in feb it should be cool live they are excellent. Shamed to say i'm more excited about seeing the black keys the day before. Hahah.

I listened to With Teeth maybe twice and was disappointed both times....I LOVED NIN, and almost around the same time I discovered DTB, WT was released and WT seemed very lame in my eyes.
I'll give old Trent another chance tho.

With Teeth was very weak indeed. When it first came out I was all 'OMG ITS SO FUCKING AWESOME!"

Than getting back into the very old stuff, Pretty Hate Machine even, and Trent really needs to get more angry again. Its just isn't NIN without the aggresiveness. I mean, for a NIN album With Teeth is shit. For an album by any other band, its okay.

Or in other words, 'The Hand That Feeds', 'Only', 'Sunspots', and probably everything else on With Teeth dont make very good NIN songs

I adored all things Trent in the 90s but lost interest a few years ago. Had no idea he had issues with record labels or alcohol. At his best he's one talented man, so I hope the next album is a return to form for him.

And for what it's worth, my favorite NIN release is the very first one... And I don't think it took him long to write the last album because of... you know... label issues. I think he just wasn't writing music for a long time in there somewhere.

It just seemed that WT songs are a bunch of filler with a catchy chorus. I remember when it came out, I was the first in the door to buy the record and remember people saying it was NIN's best album....I just couldn't see it.
People always say that The Fragile was the weakest album, but I love The Fragile...way deeper and more cerebral than WT by far. The Fragile took a while for me to appreciate.....and it seems all the great albums take a couple months of leaving it alone for me to truly appreciate it after my first impressions, which are usually somewhat negative. This happened on Tool's Aenima, Ministry's Psalm 69, The Fragile and I've started listening to Synchestra again with a new found appreciation.

I hoped WT was the same, and I'd come around a few months later and listen again and see the genius, but over the course of a year of listening off and on ever couple months, it's still weak and almost immature sounding. I hope Reznor blows me away with the next one.

The title track to Awitha Teetha was great. But yeah, he'd be hard pressed making a worse album. Methinks this one is going to boot much ass indeed.

Downward Spiral will always be the best, followed closely by The Fragile. With Teeth was great and was the album that got me into NIN. i still love it even hearing probably every minute of material Trents recorded :P

Downward Spiral is probably my favourite, but at times I think Fragile is.

The song 'The Downward Spiral' always gets me depressed though. I kinda dumped alot of bad memories on to that song, and it's like its permanently scarred with them.

That entire album is just incredibly depressing as a whole. It's really rather hard to grasp just how depressing it really is, even once one has heard it. :P I really like it as an album, but I very rarely listen to it for the previously mentioned reason.

For those not interested... still more infos there, but you don't have to check it out. :D

That sounds cool, he's pretty good with layers and textures so hopefully that's a positive.
