Extra strong tea ftw. No time or inclination for anything less.
Also, that chinese stuff is better than any Twinings or generic brand version of green/jasmine tea. (Chinese supermarkets also ftw)

EDIT: I did say in my old post my obsession wasn't on the scale of violets and I didn't have a cupboard dedicated simply for tea. Oops.

Blackcurrant, Ginseng and Vanilla Twinnings - yay or nay?

Not a massive fan of blackcurrant, personally...But it sounds like an interesting combo. Give it a go and give us a verdict pls, so a provisional yes from me. :)

It's not so bad. I've been using it as a healthier alternative to my usual Ringtons black tea with Ribena combo (I know how it sounds, but it's sweet and metallic, and rather nice). I guess if you like your tea strong and aren't a massive blackcurrant fan it's not so good for you, though the vanilla softens the berry flavour, and the ginseng gives it a nice brainkick.

Just discover Miles West Country tea. They have it is Sainsbury now. Tastes far superior to any standard mass-produced tea. The loose-leaf is the same price as PG Tips but tastes likesomething from a proper tea shop.
And it has an elephant on the packaging.

How have I never noticed this glorious thread before!?

I absolutely adore tea. I usually like my tea to contain actual tea in it, so I don't drink herbal infusions very often (save for chamomile). I like black, oolong, green (but not straight -- it has to have something else in it, like mint, chamomile, or tangerine), and white tea. I am not a fan of Earl Grey, but Lavender Earl Grey is okay every once in a while.

I don't usually put anything in my tea -- I generally drink it straight. I don't like fruity teas, jasmine teas, and I don't like sweet teas.

Most of the tea I drink is loose leaf tea. I have several bags of loose leaf tea from The House of Commons Tea Room in Denver, and then I also have even more bags of loose leaf tea from DavidsTea, Adagio, and a few canisters of loose leaf tea from Teavana. Tea definitely takes up a good portion of one of my kitchen counters. I should take a picture of my tea collection one of these days. I have a ton of random tea bags in a drawer, too.

I have a Utilitea kettle to brew my teas at the right temperature, a tea duckie so that I can drink loose leaf tea at work sometimes, and a cast iron teapot from Teavana.

(The actual size of the photo is on my blog. Whenever I try to post it here, it only ends up showing half of it: http://dementia-divine.tumblr.com/post/26599373522/this-has-been-a-tea-appreciation-post)

Lately, I've been drinking a lot of chamomile as well as some Bai Hao Yin Zhen from DavidsTea that I mixed with chrysanthemum flowers and peppermint.

Thanks!

I tried Movie Night from DAVIDsTEA for the first time last night. It's a green tea with apple and popcorn pieces, or, more accurately, an infusion of apple and popcorn pieces with a small amount of green tea thrown into the mix.

There are way more apple pieces than there are tea leaves, so it

I took a picture of my tea collection yesterday with my phone camera.

This is the tea that I currently have at work:

A drawer full of random tea at home:

A cupboard full of loose leaf tea (I put the jars in the cupboard to avoid light exposure):

And some more tea in tins on the countertop:

I can only imagine how much tea you could fit into that TARDIS!
