Hey all, just thought i'd share something with you. I'm 38 years old, live in Footscray, Victoria Australia. Since my older brother bought home a borrowed Album of Rush's 'Permanent Waves' when i was about 15 years old, ive had a big love of the band. When i heard that opening riff from Spirit of Radio i thought, wow, whats this shit? Since then ive had a fortunate life, have worked hard, lived overseas for long periods and generally had a full life. But, Ive never seen Rush live. This band has never and probably never will play here live. They are largely unknown here. A while ago a beloved Uncle of mine died and left me a few grand, i had no idea what to do with it, infact the idea of using it all felt sorta wrong. I thought about him and what would be nice to do with his gift, i could by some art, pay off some of the mortgage, but they all felt blah. Then i thought how much he loved to travel and that maybe a trip might be the best way to spend this inheritance. My partner had said she was keen for a trip as all we seem to do lately is work our arses off. Then, about a week ago i woke up and looked at the weather forecast, the high was 21 and the low 12. hmmm, then i got an email from the rush website saying that presales for the third leg of the clockwork angels tour were going onsale, Montreal was in this leg and my Mrs and i lived in Paris for a year and both places speak French, and my uncle used to wear this daggy tourist top that had Canada printed on it, and in October we're both gonna be unemployed....and then by the end of that day i had purchased 2 tix for Rush, row FF on the floor on the 18 of Oct this year at the Bell Centre in Montreal. Am fucking stoked.
Just thought i'd share this little tale with you all,

all the best!!

That's beautiful, enjoy the trip and the concert! I'm sure you won't be disappointed; I've seen Rush live several times now and each time has been an absolute blast. :)
