Been lurking for a little while but figured I may as well post up in a little of my "free time"
What to say, well, been a fan of the Dev since Terria so that's about 2001-ish iirc. Actually discovered it through an Inside-Out sampler CD with a radio edit of "The Fluke" on it. Bought the whole CD and the rest is history. Funny story about that too, not long after I bought it I was giving it a listen when my wife got home from work and she immediately asked what the hell that noise was, I told her Devin Townsend, all she said was that's a nice name, if we ever have a boy lets name him Devin...well, 10 years later we had a boy (at home on the bathroom floor, but that's another story, lol) and we named him Devin. Even got to meet the man himself with my wife while she was pregnant during the 2010 headlining tour with the VIP package, had a great time.
Seen him live probably about 5 times now and he never fails to entertain, always a blast.
On a side note I've played guitar for about 25 years now, in and out of different local bands just for fun right now since time is at a premium but just having fun with it. Even played a couple Townsend tunes in the last band, always seemed to go over really well even if no one knew who it was, lol.
