Talk about whatever you want to here, but stay correct

There is no new news or new album at this time and membership has been scarce so until there is activity there are no forums. Plus the forums currently maybe make up 1% of the actual fan base. The band and the members have MySpace's, Facebook's and other self pimping sites where you can interact until there is something worth putting a forum together for. The forums have not been deleted, I have them backed up and in a safe place for future use.

I'm putting the forums back up, sort of... My company is in need of a forum so I'm going to import the existing Fear Factory Forums database into my site, move some stuff around and open it. I'll keep you guys posted.

Does anyone have any word on what FF are doing at the moment in terms of a new albums, or tour?

Shame,

The songwriting is, IMHO, dull and uninspiring

I think their trying to break into a commercial market. I'm surprised FF aren't still going since everyone still knows them, and likes them. I myself am not a massive fan of the new band, to me it sounds like another mainstream American metal band with your typical singer (no offense). I highly doubt this band will get anywhere, I reckon Burton, Raymond and Christian should go back to FF and tour again, that would be the most logical solution. :P

Never the less I'll give this new project a run for its money, I'm sure once I hear the final product I may change my mind...but at the moment that seems highly unlikely.

According to FEAR FACTORY's official MySpace page, the long-running Los Angeles-based metal band will release a new album and embark on a world tour in 2009. No further information is currently available.

FEAR FACTORY is currently on hiatus while the band's frontman, Burton C. Bell, focuses his attention on the ASCENSION OF THE WATCHERS project, which recently inked a deal with MINISTRY mainman Al Jourgensen's 13th Planet Records.

FEAR FACTORY is presently unsigned, having parted ways with Liquid 8 Records, the label that issued the group's last two albums — 2004's "Archetype" and 2005's "Transgression".

"Transgression" was produced by Toby Wright (ALICE IN CHAINS, KORN, METALLICA).

FEAR FACTORY members Raymond Herrera (drums) and Christian Olde Wolbers (guitar) recently joined forces with THREAT SIGNAL vocalist Jon Howard in a new group called ARKAEA. The band's as-yet-untitled debut is due this fall on Koch Records. Herrera and Olde Wolbers are also collaborating with former DAMAGEPLAN singer/HALFORD guitarist Patrick Lachman in a project called BURN IT ALL. That band is currently shopping a four-song demo to interested labels.

I'll look for a torrent. I haven't been excited about Fear Factory since Digimortal...that was okay. Loved Demanufacture and the remix record, they were staples in my highschool days. Obsolete was alright. I tried their newer albums, but couldn't get into them. :|

EDIT: Numinosum is pretty cool at first listen, though I'm only on the second track so far.
