I'm glad I missed out on the arguing. Whenever I hear or see an argument I feel like the child torn between the two.

You can always dual-boot Lula, have a Windows partition and a Linux partition so you can have the best of boths worlds.

Here I am!
Yes apart from a worrying start after the fix it's all turned out good!
After I restarted and windows booted, I instantly noticed...no wallpaper, then...no icons...!! The shortcuts and such were there, and would take you wherever they said they would, but the icons themselves were gone, they had all defaulted to that little window icon. Then when I tried to restart again to see if that did anything, I discovered the shutdown button in the start menu wasnt doing anything. So after annoyingly poking the restart button on the front of the computer, I waited with baited breath to see what happened...lo and behold...everything works again! Damn windows for shitting me up like that!!
Now to use a famous Latin quote that I'm sure Microsoft would adopt as their motto...
"Veni. Vidi. Vici"

Wine is the answer!

It's a Windows emulator, you can run Windows programs is Linux. Not everything works and it's usually a bit slower though. But it works! I run World of warcraft with it, flawlessly. Some games even run better in Wine than in Windows itself!!!
